During this year’s World Cup, we are dealing with a resurgence in David Kubacki’s form. The 32-year-old athlete has already risen to the top step of the podium four times, breaking his personal best and taking first place in the overall standings. He did it for the first time in the 1998/99 season, then respectively: 2002/03, 2004/05, 2005/06 (ex-equo with Jakub Janda) and 2007/08. In addition, he finished third twice: 1994/95 and 1997/98, and was second three times: 1999/00, 2000/01 and 2009/10. In total, he gives as many as 10 medals.
2. Jens Weissflog
The legendary German jumper has for many years held the top position in the ranking of the jumpers who most often climbed to the top step of the podium at the Four Hills Tournament. Weissflog accomplished this feat four times: 1983/94, 1984/85, 1990/91 and 1995/96. Finished second as many times: 1982/83, 1987/88, 1988/89 and 1993/94. However, once in the 1989/90 season, he stood on the third step of the podium. The German won 9 medals.
3. Bjorn Wirkola
One of the greatest Norwegian ski jumping legends, who was then… a footballer. He has won the 4-Hills-Tournament three times and is the only diver in the history of the entire tournament to win it three times in a row: 1966/67, 1967/68 and 1968/69. A silver medal was worn around his neck twice: 1964/65 and 1969/70, and once a bronze medal (1965/66). The Norwegian managed to win 6 medals.
4. Kamil Stoch and Helmut Recknagel
Our national pride has been on the TKS podium three times and each time it was the highest degree. Kamil Stoch did it in the 2016/17, 2017/18 and 2020/21 seasons. The legendary Helmut Recknagel, on the other hand, made his first podium in 1957/58, then in 1958/59 and for the last time in 1960/61. Both jumpers won three medals each.
5. Matti Nykanen
Another Finnish jumper on this list, who until the era of Janne Ahonen was considered the greatest Finn in the history of this discipline. Nykanen has won the 4-Hills-Tournament twice: 1982/83, 1987/88, twice as many runners-up: 1984/85 and 1988/89 (ex-equo with Jens Weissflog) and third once (1983/89) ). 84). 8. Veikko Kankkonen, Hubert Neuper, Ernst Vettori, Ryoyu Kobayashi
Each of these jumpers managed to win the Four Hills Tournament twice. Veikko Kankkonen did it in the 1963/64 and 1965/66 seasons. Hubert Neuper (Austria) lifted the Golden Eagle in the years: 1979/80 and 1980/81. His compatriot Ernst Vettori was on the top step of the podium in the 1985/86 campaigns, while the Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi is the winner of the previous TCS (2021/22), and in the 2018/19 season he won for the first time.
9. Thomas Morgenstern
One of the most popular Austrian ski jumpers of the 2000s, “Morghi” won a total of 5 medals in the 4 Hills Tournament, one gold (2010/11), three silver (2007/08, 2011/12 and 2013/14). and one bronze (2004/05).
10. Eino Kirjonen
The Finnish jumper closes this classification, the only one in this rating who is no longer alive. Died August 21, 1988. The legendary Finn was on the podium of the Four Hills Tournament four times. He was first once (1961/62) and second three times (1953/54, 1954/55 and 1956/57).
