The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) will consider the case on April 14 Deputy of the Kyiv City Council from the party “Servant of the People” Vladislav Trubitsyn and others about receiving UAH 1.39 million in unlawful benefits. Trubitsin, together with his accomplices, is accused of extorting bribes from entrepreneurs for placing MAFs, reports Slovo i delo.
VAKS on April 14 at 13:00 will consider the case of the deputy of the Kyiv City Council Vladislav Trubitsyn from the Servant of the People party and others about receiving UAH 1.39 million in unlawful benefits. This decision was made last week.
“According to the prosecution, the deputy of the Kyiv City Council Vladislav Trubitsyn, in collusion with close associates and officials of public utilities, organized a corruption scheme, in which they received unlawful benefits from entrepreneurs for the placement of MAFs. Despite the fact that the right to place such points was granted based on the results of open tenders, their potential participants were informed that only pre-determined companies for a fee could win.- writes “Word and Deed”.
City Council deputy Vladislav Trubitsyn, ex-director of the City Store KP Aman Molamov, his deputy Oleksiy Nepryakhin, deputy director of the Kiev Heritage KP Dmitry Kovalchuk, as well as two assistants of Trubitsyn Ilya Leaf and Artem Bilinsky are accused of the case.
As previously reported, during the arrest by NABU in February 2022, Trubitsin managed to escape from detectives in a car. Later, the deputy ended up in a pre-trial detention center, from where he was released on bail of 14.88 million hryvnias. According to the Anti-Corruption Action Center (CPC), despite the statements of the leadership of the Servant of the People, Trubitsyna has not yet been expelled from the party faction in the Kyiv City Council. Journalist Yury Butusov also published documents according to which in 2010 Vladislav Trubitsyn was already on trial for attempting to commit a scam - he forged an energy inspection inspector’s certificate and came with fictitious checks to two markets in the Kharkiv region.
