The TASS news agency, citing an informant in the State Duma, in turn reports that on September 30, Vladimir Putin may announce the annexation of the occupied Ukrainian territories, including the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

The agency also reported that two days earlier, the State Duma would consider bills on “joining with Russia” the occupied territories of Ukraine. A source in the Federation Council told RIA Novosti that on September 29, the chamber may consider “an agreement and a law on the entry of new subjects into the Russian Federation.”

Referendums in the occupied territories until Tuesday

Putin’s speech should be similar to the events of 2014, when the president spoke in the presence of deputies and senators of the State Duma before the annexation of Crimea, and then signed an agreement on the annexation of Crimea to Russia.
