The relevant sanctions against Taiwan will come into force on August 3, 2022.
Recall that on August 2, the head of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi flew to Taiwan’s capital Taipei.
Earlier, John Kirby, the coordinator of the US National Security Council for strategic communications, said that the Joe Biden administration would support Nancy Pelosi if they nevertheless went to Taiwan. German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock on Tuesday expressed solidarity with Taiwan, around which China is conducting military maneuvers amid a possible visit by the speaker of the US House of Representatives.
As you know, the US military fears that China could shoot down a plane with the speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi during a visit to Taiwan, which is scheduled for August this year.
It should be noted that the head of the White House, Joe Biden, said that the United States is ready to use military force in the event of a Chinese attack on Taiwan.
Recall that the leaders of Russia and China, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, issued a joint statement following the meeting in Beijing. They, in particular, accused NATO of fanning the confrontation and called for its non-expansion.
In addition, the Kremlin noted that Taiwan is an integral part of China, and Moscow reaffirms its adherence to the principle of one China.
