Current situation with COVID-19 in Poland

Currently, the most stable situation is observed in the case of COVID-19. The virus does not cause such a large wave of infections as it did a year ago at the same time. However, you should not lose your vigilance, because the coronavirus is still mutating - currently, among others, the most infectious sub-variant of the Kraken dominates. in the US, and its cases also appear in Europe.

The Ministry of Health also continuously provides data on COVID-19 in Poland. The latest report, published on January 11, 2023, shows that there are currently 370 officially registered cases of coronavirus infection in Poland, with 298 new cases registered in the last 24 hours. Most infections occurred in the Masovian Voivodeship: 47Silesian: 31 and Lesser Poland: 28. A large number were registered in Greater Poland Voivodeship: 26, and least of all in Lubuskie and Warmia-Mazury Voivodeships, where 5 new cases occurred each. There are currently no COVID-19-free provinces in the entire country.

Over the past day, 5577 tests for Sars-CoV-2 were carried out in the country, of which 416 were positive. Over the past day, 14 people have died from COVID-19. In 13 of them, comorbidities were the deciding factor.

Data since the start of the pandemic

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Poland (data calculated as of March 4, 2020), more than 6.3 million people have become infected with the coronavirus, of which 6.2 million are new infections, and more than 150,000 have died. people are re-infected.
