The American reusable manned spacecraft Crew Dragon-6 has successfully docked with the International Space Station (ISS). The docking was carried out on March 3 in automatic mode to the Harmony module of the American segment of the ISS (recall, Russia, whose station segment is rather worn out, announced that it was withdrawing from the ISS development program after 2024). The Crew Dragon ships are designed and built by the private company SpaceX, which was founded by Elon Musk.

An international crew of four arrived on the ISS - American astronauts Stephen Bowen and Woody Hoburg, astronaut Sultan Al-Neyadi from the United Arab Emirates and Russian cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev. It is planned that these four will spend six months at the station.

Bowen, Hoburg, Al-Neyadi and Fedyaev take over from Crew Dragon-5. She has been on the ISS since October 2022. These are NASA astronauts Josh Kassada and Nicole Mann, Japanese Koichi Wakata and Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina. In five days, Crew Dragon-6 must return them to Earth.

The launch of the ship was carried out using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle built by Elon Musk’s SpaceX. The launch took place on March 2 at 00:34 US East Coast time from Cape Canaveral.

Recall that Elon Musk, who lost $ 140 billion in 2022, regained his first place in the list of the richest people on the planet.
