All over Ukraine, starting from February 8, the limits of electricity consumption will be changed. There will be no restrictions for each region on one day for two weeks, and on other days there may be changes in the usual shutdown schedules.

This is necessary in order to measure the actual consumption in each region, informs Ukrenergo.

In turn, consumption restrictions will be completely lifted in each region for one day. Since there is a shortage of power in the power system caused by Russian attacks, simultaneously in areas where measurements are not made on a particular day, consumption limits can be slightly reduced.

More specific information can be obtained from oblenergos in your region.

According to the plan of power engineers, thanks to the innovation, it will be possible to see how consumers behave, having constant access to electricity. Such a study, called regime measurement, allows you to determine exactly how much each area currently consumes during the normal operation of the power system. Such measurements will make it possible to take into account the relocation of enterprises, the migration of the population, and actual changes in the general level and structure of consumption when setting limits.

The results obtained, which will take into account changes in the population and location of enterprises, will allow specialists to adjust the volume limits for each region and ensure a more even distribution of the capacity available in the system across regions.

In the absence of massive attacks on the energy infrastructure, the approximate schedule for regime measurements is as follows:
- February 8: Zaporozhye, Donetsk, Mykolaiv regions;
- February 9: Kharkiv, Kherson, Khmelnytsky regions;
- February 10: Volyn, Kyiv region;
- February 13: Vinnitsa, Kirovograd, Chernihiv, Transcarpathian regions;
- February 14: Poltava, Cherkasy, Rivne, Lugansk regions;
- February 15: Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Sumy, Ternopil regions;
- February 16: Dnepropetrovsk region;
- February 17: Kyiv, Chernivtsi region;
- February 20: Lviv, Odessa.

Earlier, power engineers reported that power outages in Kyiv could become longer.
