In Ukraine, where there is a fight against collaborators, two Russian agents were detained who were preparing missile attacks on railway junctions and energy facilities in Odessa and Kherson. This was reported in the Security Service of Ukraine.

“SBU cyber experts exposed two more FSB agents in the course of large-scale counter-sabotage measures in the front-line regions of southern Ukraine. At the direction of the enemy, they collected intelligence on the basing and movement of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Taurida direction. In addition, the locations of critical infrastructure in Odessa and Kherson were handed over to the invaders. First of all, the aggressor was interested in the exact coordinates of local facilities of Ukrzaliznytsia and power generating enterprises. In the event that intelligence information was received, the occupiers planned to use it to prepare and conduct a series of targeted missile strikes on Ukrainian cities.- the message says.

The department noted that the SBU officers acted ahead of the curve - they exposed, located and detained both attackers in a timely manner while trying to transfer intelligence to the invaders.

“One of the Russian agents was detained near the central railway station in Kherson, the other in Odessa after a covert photograph of one of the military facilities. The aggressor’s henchmen turned out to be two local residents who were recruited by the Russian special service after the start of a full-scale invasion. Both attackers were in constant undercover communication with a staff member of the FSB department for the Rostov region with the pseudonym Buba Kastorsky. It was from him that Russian agents received assignments to carry out reconnaissance and subversive activities in the southern region of Ukraine.- reported to the SBU.

The collaborators used a specially created anonymous telegram channel for communication.

“During the searches, the detainees were found to have smartphones red-handed with a representative of the FSB. At present, investigators of the Security Service have informed both detainees of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (state treason committed under martial law)”- the message says.

The court chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention. Attackers face punishment - up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

As FAKTY wrote, earlier SBU officers detained collaborators from the Luhansk region who were trying to get a job in Ukrainian state institutions.
