IN Young Judge, Blue Beetle is portrayed as a member of the Outsiders and a former member of the Team. His scarab was temporarily under the control of the Reach after being rebooted by the Green Beetle. However, thanks to the efforts of Zatanna, Isis, Doctor Fate and the Crew, he was freed from this influence.

The Blue Beetle comes across as laid-back and good-natured, especially during simple missions. However, his teammates find him strange because he often gets into conversations and arguments with himself. It’s actually the Blue Scarab Beetle interacting with him that leads to these internal discussions. He strongly dislikes the Scarab’s artificial intelligence and often disagrees with it. Although Blue Beetle does not make a cameo appearance in Flash film, it serves as a major reset point for the 10-year DCU plan devised by the newly appointed co-heads of DC Studios, James Gunn And Peter Safran. This movie touches on ambitious themes like the multiverse and time travel, making it a milestone in their vision for the DC Universe.

During the press conference that shed light on the future of the DCU, Gunn and Safran went into detail about how the upcoming Hamada-led films will play a vital role in a smooth reboot of the universe. With The Flash at the forefront of these developments, this promises to be an exciting and turning point for the DC Cinematic Universe. As Gann says:

“So, how can we bring all these things together and make sense of them, combine them and create one real universe?… Honestly, I think we are lucky with the next four films, because we have Shazam, which leads to Flash , which resets everything, which then goes into Blue Beetle, which is completely disabled… But the only thing we can promise is that everything from… our first draft onwards will be canon and will be connected. We use some actors from the past, we don’t use other actors from the past. But from now on, everything will be interconnected and consistent.”
