The look of Sigur Ros is particularly unique in that they manage to provide the soundtrack for an entire episode. The 2013 “Carl Saga” was written by the group. The band’s contributions to this episode are particularly relevant given that the episode focuses on Homer’s drinking buddy Carl, who travels to Iceland to trace his family’s history.

In “Lisa Goes Gaga”, Lady Gaga visits Springfield and helps Lisa regain her confidence after trying to become more popular at school backfires. Despite a great guest star, this episode is known to have the lowest rating of the entire series on IMDb.

The episode “Homerpaloosa” follows Homer as he joins a traveling rock festival as a stuntman, even against the doctor’s orders. Unfortunately, the townspeople don’t take their message too well and end up throwing trash at them, which sinks the barge and kills them. Titanic-style.

Marge persuades Al to perform a song about her love for Homer in order to win him back. This episode was critically acclaimed and won an Emmy Award in 2003.

3 Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson remains one of the most legendary and controversial figures in all of music. His iconic dance skills, music videos and stage presence have helped make his iconic albums popular. Thriller And Bad are among the best-selling in history. He is often referred to as the King of Pop.

In the episode “Stark’s Mad Dad”, Homer is committed to a mental institution for wearing a pink shirt to work; he ends up sharing a room with Leon Kompowski, a man who thinks he is Michael Jackson. In addition to writing the song for the episode “Happy Birthday Lisa”, Jackson actually provided the voice for the role, but due to contractual reasons, his vocal performance was not credited - instead, the episode’s credits list it as “John J. Smith”. The episode had a cult cameo back then, but has since been pulled from broadcast due to bad aging.
