In a shocking interview, Muschietti said that working with Cage “was absolutely wonderful” and that “Although the role was cameo, he immersed himself in it.” A dream come true not only for a Superman megafan like Cage working with the legendary star, but also a milestone for the director, who said, “I’ve dreamed of working with him all my life. I hope to be able to work with him again soon.” Feelings about this giant revelation are sure to give some (all) of us headaches as we remain here wondering why. This the director released such a giant spoiler just a few weeks before the film hit theaters. Maybe his loose lips were caused by jet lag, or maybe he was asked in a way that has never been posed before, but to announce such a shocking episode is absolutely incredible.

We have known for a long time that Flash would see Miller’s protagonist trying to right the wrongs of the past as he races through the multiverse. In turn, these decisions will put him on a crash course with Keaton’s Batman and Shannon’s General Zod. While audiences have long speculated about the possibilities of other long-lost DC characters that could make it into history, this is, frankly, a revelation of insanity.

What is the future of Superman?

Although Cage makes a spectacular, albeit brief, cameo appearance in Flash, fans should not expect to ever see him in this role again. After James Gunn And Peter Safran took over by DC Studios late last year, changes were made to the trajectory of the Man of Steel films that should have seen Henry Cavill he was not asked to return to play the character he had appeared for over a decade. Gunn will be next in Superman history. Superman: Legacythe movie he promises will be a different take on an already established version of the hero.
