Sam Raimi- director 1981 Evil Dead Outing received positive reviews upon its release and garnered a large following, becoming a “cult classic”. Of course, having received huge acclaim, the film has since spawned a number of adaptations. And in addition to movie franchises, the story of the dead scared the small screen with the 2015 Starz television series, Ash vs Evil Dead. However, in news that’s sure to upset fans, especially Netflix subscribers, the critically acclaimed TV show is ending in April, so fans might want to catch up on all three seasons before the franchise’s latest film releases on April 18.

All 30 episodes Ash vs Evil Dead will leave the streaming platform just a week after the long-awaited release The Evil Dead Riseled by Lee Cronin. While the deletion is already frustrating in itself, it wasn’t the first time fans of the series received such dire news when the TV series wasn’t renewed for a fourth season back in 2018. In a season that would lead the characters to a post-apocalyptic setting, Bruce Campbell— who prominently played Ash Williams in both various Evil Dead features and television series - earlier in the interview, it was stated that when the series first aired, Starz was at the dawn of a new “paradigm” and suddenly low viewership led to the show’s cancellation.

Even longtime fans of the franchise were skeptical when it was first announced that Evil Dead the franchise will receive a television treatment. However, upon release in 2015, the series proved to be a huge treat for not only bringing back a familiar face, but diving into the franchise’s original timeline while introducing new faces, including the likes of Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo, Lucy Lawless, Jill Marie JonesAnd Ariel Carver-O’Neillas well as great recurring actors such as Samara weaving, Hemki MaderaAnd Lee Majors.
