Life in plastic is truly fantastic as HGTV booked a reno house themed show ahead of this summer’s release. Greta GerwigX Barbie. According to variety, the new show will be called Barbie dream house challenge, and it will follow a journey home in Southern California to become a residence straight out of Barbie’s world. Eight teams of HGTV superstars will take on the challenge of transforming the home, which will include a disco vibe for Ken’s Den. The series will be hosted by a supermodel. Graham, which will drive a pink corvette similar to the one used by the legendary Mattel doll. The winner of the show will have the opportunity to live in the house after its renovation.

In the upcoming movie Margot Robbie will play Barbie, who gets kicked out of Barbieland for not being the perfect doll. In search of a new place, she will head to the world of people to find a new happiness. The Harley Quinn actress will be joined by an ensemble cast that will include names such as Ryan Gosling, Will Ferrell And America Ferrera. Gosling will play Ken, supposedly looking for Barbie after she leaves her house. Time will tell if Barbieland still looks like the best option for the characters by the time the story ends, or if they decide to stay in the human world.

During the first trailer for the upcoming movie, the tone and scope of the adventure is quickly set. Viewers are told through storytelling how baby dolls were the only option available before the revolutionary introduction of Barbie to the market. When young girls play with said dolls, Margot Robbie appears before them as the main character, changing the girls’ point of view and causing them to smash their dolls on the ground. There are a few glimpses of what appear to be elaborate musical numbers towards the end of the trailer, and Ryan Gosling portrays Kent straight out of the doll’s most bizarre presentations.

Influences Behind Barbie

White noise the premiere took place Netflix last year, telling the story of how the city succumbed to paranoia when a chemical disaster pollutes the air they breathe. The film was directed by Greta Gerwig’s husband. Noah Baumbachand gave brilliant performances from Adam Driver and Gerwig herself. Surprisingly, the duo mentioned that Baumbach’s film and Barbie “came from the same place” when it comes to inspiring both projects. Since both films were written at the same time, in the first year of the pandemic, they informed each other in the process, even if their worlds are completely different.
