maritime police alum Michael Weatherly teased fans of the popular procedural drama that the two fan-favorite characters could soon reunite as part of an “exciting year” ahead.
Weatherly recently spoke about his Twitter account that a reunion between his character, agent Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo and Ziva David (Côte de Pablo) could be part of the upcoming 2023 season. “We would all love to see you reunite with Ziva,” a fan wrote in response to the video Weatherly shared, wishing everyone a happy new year. “Stay tuned…because it could be an interesting year for these ‘moments’!” Weatherly responded by quoting the tweet. Weatherly last appeared in the season 13 finale in 2016, where he discovered that Ziva had died in the attack, leaving behind her daughter, Tali (portrayed by twins). Emelia and Leila Golfieri). Although he left for Paris with Tali at the time of the show’s exit, the fan theory that Ziva was still alive was later confirmed when she returned to the series in season 17 after several years on the run.
In his New Year’s message, Weatherly hinted that good things are ahead of us and encouraged fans to have fun and spend time with family and loved ones this year. “What will happen in 2023?” Weatherly, who has since starred in the CBS series. Bull after leaving maritime police, the video asks. “Well, whatever you do in 2022, we have 23 in front of us, an open door, so let’s explore everything, shall we?” He says. “It’s too poetic. You know? Never mind. Have a good time, party, be with the people you love, and have fun. No need to rhyme.”
