Knock on the cabin based on the 2018 novel Hut at the end of the world written Paul Tremblay and tells the story of Andrew (Jonathan Groff) and Eric (Ben Aldridge) who take their adopted daughter Wen (Kristen Cui) on vacation in an isolated hut in the forest. While here, Ven is approached by a man named Leonard, played by Dave Batistaand a group of other strangers played by Rupert Grint, Nikki Amuka-Birdand Abby Quinn. This group of four, featured in a poster shared by Shyamalan, take a family hostage and inform them that one of them must be sacrificed to save the world. Although they don’t initially believe it, the sudden apocalyptic events that begin to take place around the world seem to suggest that there may be some truth to what is happening. So the question is: will they choose to save the one they love, or will they save the whole of humanity?
The new poster was shared on Twitter from Shyamalan himself, who added in the post caption how much he loves the final design. “I love the final poster. Like some old film noir. I like graphic posters the most. In many ways, this is a throwback film. Can’t wait to see it in theaters.” The poster shows white silhouettes of four strangers standing around the cockpit, towering over the structure, casting long crimson shadows against a pitch black background.
Shyamalan is serving as the director of the project, as well as a screenwriter along with Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman. Shyamalan also produced the film along with Mark Bienstock and Ashwin Rajanwith Stephen Schneider, Christos V. Constantakopoulosand Ashley Fox executive producing.
