The Shawshank Redemption received a score of 91% on the site. His exploration of themes like hope and male friendship is excellent, and critics are sure to take notice. Both IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes love this film for its uplifting nature and compassionately written characters, brilliantly played by talented actors such as Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins.

7/10 The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) - 93%
Return of the King is the conclusion to Lord of the Rings trilogy, and what is that conclusion. Grand, epic, emotional and satisfying, it’s a textbook definition of the trilogy’s finale, done right.
At the time of writing, Return of the King remains the biggest sweep in Oscar history, winning all 11 awards for which it was nominated. In truth, he deserved every single one of them, as evidenced by his 93% Tomatometer score. His visuals are the most startlingly good in the entire franchise, and his story is by far the most touching.
6/10 The Dark Knight (2008) - 94%
Like Jackson Lord of the Rings trilogy, Christopher NolanX The Dark Knight The trilogy is considered one of the best in its genre. The film, in which Batman engages in a mental duel with his most feared adversary, is a gripping crime/superhero thriller.
Even those who are not Nolan fans usually admit that The Dark Knight it’s great and one if its the best. Full of unsettling sets and one of the finest supporting performances in the history of American cinema by the late Heath Ledgerit consistently proves itself worthy of an impressive 94% on Rotten Tomatoes.
5/10 The Godfather Part 2 (1974) - 96%
The Godfather Part 2 is not only one of the greatest crime dramas ever made, but also one of the best sequels of all time. It follows Michael Corleone, now a rising leader of the crime family, while simultaneously showing the rise of a young Vito Corleone.
There is nothing to admire about this masterful sequel. It fits perfectly with the themes and plot of the first film, and there’s a poignant poetic beauty in watching Michael fall into the deepest depths of his humanity, while Vito rises to power through his leadership and sense of loyalty. Because of this, the film has a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
4/10 “The Good, the Bad, the Ugly” (1967) - 97%
Sergio Leone made several examples of the Western genre, but perhaps none of them was as popular and widely loved as Good bad evilabout three unexpected allies who come together to find a hidden treasure.
Simply put, the movie is simply breathtaking, with a long running time filled with memorable sets that make it worthwhile, as well as a gripping story and great performances. Despite being at the bottom of the IMDb Top 10, critics on Rotten Tomatoes gave it a fantastic 97% score.
3/10 The Godfather (1972) - 97%
The question of which film is the best ever made is, of course, highly debatable. But if there’s one movie that always pops up in this conversation, it has to be Francis Ford CoppolaX Godfather.
Its sequel comes pretty damn close to being as good, but as this film’s 97 percent tomatometer score shows, it’s hard to beat the original. It deserves all the accolades it receives and more, as it is as much an emotionally powerful family drama as it is a devastating crime tragedy where every element works wonderfully.
2/10 “Schindler’s List” (1993) - 98%
Steven SpielbergOscar-winning historical drama Schindler’s list is one of the most heartbreaking war films ever made, showing the true story of how a German businessman used his position to save over a thousand Jewish lives from the Nazis during the Holocaust.
In many ways, this is the movie Spielberg was born to make. It flawlessly balances its touching humanistic style with its inherent WWII horror, creating a deeply personal piece of heartbreaking power that holds a 98% Rotten Tomatoes rating.
1/10 “12 Angry Men” (1957) - 100%
12 angry menthe drama about a juror trying to change the minds of his eleven colleagues in a murder case is one of the few movies to get a perfect rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and rightly so.
Sidney LumetThe masterpiece takes place mostly in just one room, making it an airtight place where all the tension and suspense comes from the brilliantly written characters and their interactions. It’s one of those movies that is almost devoid of any flaws, and its 100% tomatometer score just proves it.
