With the holiday season approaching, we’ve taken notice of a different kind of family gathering thanks to the cast and crew of the upcoming Netflix. It’s a 70’s show spin off, It’s a 90’s show. A sequel to the popular series that opened its last bow over 15 years ago, fans of the original production were delighted to kick off their shoes at Red’s door (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty Foreman (Debra Jo Rupp) home and go down to the basement to… join in the celebration with our favorite group of Point Place, Wisconsin residents since the reboot was announced last fall.

As it turns out, the fandoms aren’t the only ones hoping for the show’s return as a family reunion that we’d really like to attend. During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the series star Topher Grace said that his return to filming left him feeling “going home for Christmas to see his whole family.”

COLLIDER VIDEO OF THE DAY

Continuing, Grace said:

It was a gift. They are all such wonderful, amazing people who have had such an impact on my life and who I have become. Being able to come back and not just hang out with them, which was so much fun, but then be able to work with them… it was great.

If this does not bring tears to your eyes, then we regret to inform you that you may be dead inside! Grace is not the only one who has made our hearts explode with love and excitement in recent days. These 90s Showlike returning stars Ashton Kutcher as well as Tommy Chong shared similar feelings about being reunited in this familiar circle.

Along with Grace, Kutcher, Chong, Smith and Rupp, the returning cast will include Mila Kunis, Laura Preponas well as Wilmer Valderrama. Bringing youthful exuberance will be a new cast consisting of Callie Haverda, Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acey Donovan, Rein Doias well as Sam Morelos.

The new series will focus on Eric’s (Grace) and Donna’s (Prepon) daughter, Leah (Haverda), who is moving in with her grandparents, Red (Smith) and Kitty (Rapp) for the summer. Back at that familiar house in Point Place, Wisconsin, a teen and a local group of friends she meets during her visit have a joke going on. We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to see how Red puts up with the grunge scene, or his thoughts on vanilla ice.

At the moment, It’s a 90’s show did not announce a release date. While we’re still waiting for the news, Grace keeps us on our toes as he remarked at the end of his interview that he “can’t wait for people to see this.” If you’re itching to get Grace’s fix but haven’t checked it out on ABC yet home economicswe beg you to try. You can see the trailer below for the show, which has just started its third season.
