When Liam Neeson starred in Taken in 2008, the action genre experienced a resurgence, and moviegoers, who may have chosen other genres, began to watch similar films. The action, family ties, vengeance and fights kept viewers on their toes and wanting more. It wasn’t just Neeson’s game, but the story he told.

Before and after Taken, there have been other films that keep viewers on their toes with their action, storylines, and performances. ‘Taken 2’ (2012)

‘Taken 3’ (2014)

Following a revenge plot, Bryan Mills goes on a chase to track down the men who killed the woman he loved. In doing so, he must make sure he can protect his pregnant daughter.

Filmed 3 is available to stream on Prime Video, ending the series (at least for now). Of all three films, this one is the saddest, as fans have to say goodbye to one of the main characters.

“Grey Man” (2022)

For those who loved Taken because it was a dad trying to protect his family with some cool fight scenes, they’ll love it gray man as many. Although Six has no blood family, he created a family of his own through his very dangerous job. In the film, viewers see him fight against all odds, including with several armed groups in Prague, to save the niece of the man who hired him. She is his only family.

gray man now streaming on Netflix and people will see Ryan Gosling fight several bad guys during amazingly lit and colorful scenes. It’s also the perfect movie to watch. Chris Evans play the villain for a change.

‘Production’ (2020)

Usually the audience does not pay attention to crime bosses, but in the film the focus is on the mercenary and the son.

Mining available for streaming on Netflix. This film gave viewers, especially MCU fans, the opportunity to see Chris Hemsworth as something other than Thor. After that, he could definitely find his place in the action genre.

“John Wick” (2014)

For those who loved Taken because of his revenge plot, Promising young woman will be right in their alley. Screenwriter and director Emerald Fennell, it tells the story of a woman who wants to avenge her friend. By dating “good” guys, she ends up taking care of those who try to take advantage of her.

Promising young woman, the Academy Award winner, can be streamed on HBO Max. While it may not be the best revenge story because she is killed by the same man who attacked her friend, it opens her eyes to how society acts towards women who report their attacks.

“Day to Die” (2022)
