During the Marvel Studios panel at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, the studio president Kevin Feige announced that Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is coming to an end soon. Following this, congress attendees received exclusive information about the entire Phase 5 roster, which is reportedly now included, along with the entire Phase 4, in The Multiverse Saga. One of the announced films became the fifth part Avengers franchise called Avengers: Kang Dynastyalong with that, Marvel revealed the official release date.
Over the past couple of years, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has expanded its reach with iconic Marvel characters from shows like Disney+. Loki Introducing Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), to animated series like What if…? expansion of the character’s influence in the universe. During a panel in Room H, Feige made the exciting announcement that there would be a fifth Avengers film, and that the release date is set for May 2, 2025.
With the title for phases 4 to 6 of The Multiverse Saga, Kang dynasty there is some pretty important news. First officially introduced to the MCU in the season 1 finale. Loki on Disney+, fans met Kang at the end of time - like at the very end of time. Accompanying Sylvia (Sofia Di Martino), a variant of Loki with a huge chip on his shoulder, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) fights Alioth, a giant behemoth that consumes everything that exists in the Void, essentially guarding the Kang Variant at the end of time. The two discover that the One Who Remains - Kang the Conqueror - is actually protecting what he concocted as the Sacred Timeline, and he is protecting it from his other Variants who seek to start a new Multiverse War.
in What if…? In the series, the consequences of the Multiversal War are almost not affected, which is a bad thing. Exactly the same in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness fans have also gotten a small taste of the devastation that an alternate universe game can cause. Needless to say, if Kang is involved, things will get wild.
Before Avengers: Kang DynastyFeige also announced a whole host of other films and shows to be released for Phase 5, such as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania, Agatha: Chaos Coven featuring Agatha Harkness (Katherine Hahn) who we met on the Disney+ series WandaVision like Wanda MaximoffElizabeth Olsen) hostile neighbor, Captain America: New World Order and more.
