The Polish Olympic Committee terminates cooperation with the Polish company 4F. Adidas will prepare equipment for Olympic athletes

Must read

Big changes in Polish sports. We are talking about equipment for Olympic athletes. For the first time in 15 years, the new Olympic collection will be prepared by Adidas, and not 4F.

Adidas will prepare a new collection of equipment for Polish Olympians. The Polish Olympic Committee announced the signing of an agreement for the next five years. This ended many years of cooperation with the Polish 4F.

Big changes in the Polish Olympic Committee

The Polish Olympic Committee has made an important decision, which is a great honor for one company, but as a result another company may suffer a significant loss of image. Over the past 15 years, that is, at three summer and three winter Olympic Games in a row, Polish athletes have competed in suits and tracksuits from the domestic company 4F.

From today there will be changes in this matter. On October 25, with the participation of Björn Gulden, CEO of adidas, and Radoslaw Pesiewicz, President of the Polish Olympic Committee, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Polish Olympic Committee and adidas. Its main element will be the supply of suits and shoes for the Polish Olympians by the German company.

The agreement will come into force from the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 and will last until the end of 2028. This means that, in addition to the Summer Games in Paris, sports equipment will also be equipped with Adidas equipment at the Winter Games in Milan-Cortina in 2026 and the Summer Games in Los Angeles in 2028.

– Poland is one of Adidas’ largest markets in Europe. We are the market leader, but we still see many opportunities for development in both business and sport. A partnership with the Polish Olympic Committee is a natural next step for Adidas, given our long-standing support of Polish athletes through individual contracts. We are proud to become the official sponsor of the Polish Olympic Collection and support Olympians representing Poland on their path to further victories - said Bjorn Gulden, CEO of Adidas, during a press conference.

– adidas is an internationally recognized brand that has been supporting Polish athletes for many years. Therefore, I am very pleased that today Adidas becomes a sponsor of the Polish Olympic Committee, the Polish Olympic Team and the Polish Olympic Collection. The premiere of costumes and accessories designed for our Olympians will take place in April 2024. Thanks to the collaboration with Adidas, Polish Olympians from Paris 2024 to Los Angeles 2028 will wear the brand’s clothing at all Olympic sporting events to which the Polish Olympic Committee sends a team. I’ll just add that in addition to the Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games, these are also the Youth Olympic Festivals of Europe - – summarized Radoslaw Pesiewicz, President of the Polish Olympic Committee.

Adidas strengthens collaboration with Olympic athletes

However, as the announcement notes, Adidas and the Polish Olympians have a long history of collaborating with each other. For many years, Adidas has supported individual athletes, including: Polish athletes Justyna Sveta-Ersetic - Olympic champion and vice-champion of Tokyo 2020, Kajetana Duszynski - Olympic champion of Tokyo 2020 and Maja Wozniak - two-time medalist of the European Championships. Summer Olympic Youth Festivals (Banska Bystrica 2022 - bronze and Maribor 2023 - silver).
