After a difficult period since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, when fuel prices soared again, it’s time to breathe a little. Gasoline is again approaching the level of PLN 6 per liter.
Prices at gas stations seem to be returning to normal; to levels that a year ago would have been considered expensive, but in the current situation they give your wallet a breath. It’s not just petrol that’s cheaper. The movement can also be seen in diesel prices.
Petrol below PLN 6 per liter?
The last few months have been very difficult. Fuel prices skyrocketing due to the war in Ukraine and the resulting embargo on Russian oil have affected not only drivers, but the entire economy. More expensive fuel is one of those elements that is quickly pushing up nearly the entire production and supply chain for many products. Ultimately, this is always felt by the final recipients, no matter which group the product belongs to. More expensive fuel fueled inflation, which soared to 16.1 percent. in August.
However, there are good signs in the fuel market. According to BM Reflex, the average price at Polish gas stations is currently the lowest since March, i.e. since the embargo on Russian oil was introduced and the price craze began, which led to levels of up to PLN 8 per liter of gasoline. gasoline PB95. Currently prices are almost PLN 2 lower per litre. Last week, the average reduction was PLN 0.02. According to experts, although this is a low price in terms of recent months, historically this level is very high.
Good news for diesel owners.
However, not only gasoline is becoming cheaper, but also the most expensive diesel fuel at the stations recently. Discounts on this fuel have been fixed for the third week in a row, and its average price is currently PLN 7.12 per liter. Last week brought a discount of as much as 24 pennies, and the last three weeks - 62 pennies per liter. Gasoline cost 88 pennies per liter. The discounts meant that diesel was no longer the most expensive fuel at stations. This name goes back to pb98 gasoline.
