If you haven’t changed to winter tires yet, but you still need to ride summer tires, remember three rules. They can keep you out of trouble or an accident.
In Poland, unlike, for example, in Germany, there is no formal obligation to change tires from summer to winter. There is no time limit after which a penalty is imposed for the lack of appropriate tires. But everyone who went outside during a blizzard knows perfectly well that “winter boots” are simply worth having. However, there are situations when we have to drive with summer tires in winter, for example, when we are waiting for an appointment with a tire changer. This year, the onset of winter in November has meant that the queues for betting have become very long.
There are three rules to remember

Secondly, do not set off when it snows on the streets. “In the snow, you might even have trouble starting, not to mention cornering or braking. This increases the risk of collision.
Thirdly, you should avoid driving with summer tires on long journeys and at higher speeds. This is because on such a tire - with the wrong tread and compound - the car simply clings to the road worse.
Don’t Delay Replacement
It is worth remembering about the advance change to “winter tires”. Now that winter has really begun, all latecomers really should call the tire shop. If you don’t have winter tires in good condition, you need to go shopping. It’s a safety issue!
