The SBU detained another Russian agent who was spying on military aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The attacker collected intelligence for the Russian occupiers on the types and number of aircraft of the combat aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as their locations and the direction of departures, the intelligence service said.

He also handed over the locations of the military enlistment offices to the invaders and tried to locate the railway lines used to supply ammunition to the front.

For each completed task, the Russian agent received up to 4,000 hryvnias from his curator with the FSB. For conspiracy, money was transferred to the traitor using a cryptocurrency electronic wallet.

The aggressor needed intelligence information to prepare a series of air strikes on the territory of the region, primarily to destroy strategically important objects.

Counterintelligence officers of the Security Service exposed and detained the intruder.

According to the investigation, the defendant is a local resident, who was recruited by an FSB personnel officer in July 2022.

The man came to the attention of the Russian special services through one of the Russian telegram bots, where he periodically posted photos of the positions of the Ukrainian troops.

In the future, she maintained contact with the aggressor through the messenger. To carry out reconnaissance missions, he traveled to the area, where he secretly observed objects, and also asked people for the information he needed.

During a search at the defendant’s place of residence, a mobile phone and a tablet were found, which he used to communicate with the FSB.

The perpetrator faces life imprisonment.

Recall that recently the SBU detained a guard of the former Russian dungeon in Kherson. The traitor voluntarily helped the invaders to arrest and torture local residents.
