Ukrainians who have applied for temporary protection in Poland can count not only on compensation for purchased medicines, but also receive cash assistance in March under the Multipurpose Cash Assistance (MPCA). In January, the project supported 7287 refugee families. In March 2023, it is planned to provide cash assistance to about 2,500 more households. As financial assistance, it is supposed to help for three months in the amount of PLN 710 for the head of the household and PLN 610 for each family member.
Ukrainians who arrived in the country after February 24 and legally registered in Poland under temporary protection (PESEL registration) or international protection can count on this payment.
Households that have not received or are not receiving benefits from Multipurpose Cash Assistance (MPCA) programs such as UNHCR, DKH or other humanitarian organizations can apply. However, refugees who receive support from social services in Poland but are economically vulnerable can also apply. That is, refugees who do not have access to a regular income sufficient to cover the minimum standard of living for refugees in Poland
But one should take into account the limited resources and the large number of people in need of assistance. Therefore, there is no guarantee that all applicants will be provided with assistance. When considering a refugee case, the most vulnerable parties will be assessed, such as age, disability and health status, pregnancy and other protection issues, as well as the capabilities of households.
To apply for cash assistance to a refugee in Poland, you need to make an appointment at the nearest screening center by clicking the “Make an appointment” button on this site. If it is not possible to come to the center, then you can call 800 000 232, 800 011 177 or 48 918 199 499 (the cost of the call depends on your tariff plan).
At the selected date and time, you must come to the support center and provide identification in order to receive a unique control code. Then, using the code, you can enter the application page and complete an online application.
Previously, it was said that Ukrainians leaving Poland could be illegally deprived of social benefits.
