In Ukraine, which is fighting Russian aggression, law enforcement officers neutralized the underground cells of the “Communist Party of the Bolsheviks.” This was reported in the Security Service of Ukraine.
“As a result of a special operation in Kyiv and six other regions of our state, underground centers of the so-called “Communist Party of the Soviet Union” were neutralized. This is a Russian organization controlled by the FSB and actively involved in carrying out subversive activities against Ukraine. After a full-scale invasion, the organizers of the association tried to create an extensive network of their own regional committees in our state. Their “activists” were supposed to call for mass support of the Russian occupiers and equip the “commandant’s office” to collect intelligence and prepare hostile sabotage”- the message says.
The department noted that local residents, including former and active military men, who began their service during the Soviet era, were campaigning to join their cells.
“It has been established that the pro-Kremlin organization is headed by Yuri Shchipkov, who is in Moscow, the head of the “Central Committee of the Bolsheviks”. It was on his instructions that underground branches of the association were created in Kyiv, as well as Kharkov, Lvov, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Vinnitsa and Chernihiv regions. The enemy attracted more than 45 people to their functioning, who used their own houses for secret meetings of members of the enemy underground and planning explosive events. Instructions to carry out criminal acts were received directly from the head of the Moscow “Central Committee” through a specially created anonymous Telegram channel.- reported to the SBU.
Thanks to the prompt intervention of the SBU, none of the hostile plans for subversion was put into practice.
“During searches at the places of residence of the defendants, law enforcement officers found: Russian passports; unregistered weapons and ammunition; mobile phones red-handed with a Russian “curator”; pro-Kremlin propaganda materials. According to the materials of the SBU, one of the organizers of the association was notified of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine”- the message says.
