Specialists of the Pension Fund said that the participants in the hostilities receive an additional payment in the amount of 25 percent of the subsistence minimum. As of February 1, 2023, such an increase is UAH 523.25. There is also targeted financial assistance in the amount of 40 hryvnias.
Since 2004, it has been provided for by the Law of Ukraine “On improving the financial situation of combatants and persons with disabilities as a result of the war.”
At the same time, the total amount of the UBD pension cannot be less than 210 percent of the subsistence minimum. That is, now such a pension cannot be less than 4395 UAH 30 kopecks. This rule is in force on the basis of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated June 26, 2019 No. 543. Surcharges for UBI status are established for any type of pension, because both military and civilian pensioners can have such a status.
