Singer Valery Meladzewho in Russia was called to be punished by depriving him of all titles and citizenship of Russia for the words “Glory to the Heroes”, answered his critics.
“People, I want you to hear me and understand my words. For 10 months now I, like many other people, have been living with a feeling of heaviness and grief. It just so happens that the peoples that I love dearly are in conflict, during which people die. I can’t and don’t want to hate anyone and I don’t try to hate anyone. My only dream is that antagonism will cease and harmony will be established between close peoples. And for this I am ready to give all my strength. he wrote on Instagram limiting comments under this post.
Recall that the scandal erupted after Meladze’s speech at a corporate party. At the party, he responded to the fan’s congratulations “Glory to Ukraine!”, answered “Glory to the Heroes!”. And then he said into the microphone that he was “out of politics” here.
By the way, in February 2022, after the start of large-scale Russian aggression, Meladze wrote that something happened that could not happen and should never happen.
