I am currently working as a news website author at Daily News Hack. I mostly cover trending news and have been doing so for quite some time now. I have always had a keen interest in current affairs and the world around me, which is what led me to my current job. I firmly believe that the best way to learn about something is by doing it yourself and that is why I love my job so much. It allows me to be constantly learning about new things and then sharing that knowledge with others. I am also a big believer in the power of networking and building relationships. I think that LinkedIn is a great platform for connecting with like-minded people from all over the world.

From January 1, 2023, the government will update the approaches to the procedure for calculating payments for compulsory state social insurance, including unemployment benefits.

“According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, starting from the new year, the period of suspension of the employment contract in connection with the military aggression of Russia will be determined as a good reason and will be excluded from the calculation period when calculating unemployment insurance payments; from an accident at work and due to temporary disability”- informs “Legal adviser for IDPs”.

It is noted that when calculating payments, calendar days that have not been worked out for such good reasons as:

  • temporary disability;

  • maternity leave;

  • leave to care for a child until he reaches the age of three and six years of age on a medical report;

  • leave without pay

Lawyers note that this approach will allow workers with whom the employment contract was suspended during the aggression to avoid reducing the amount of benefits for temporary disability, pregnancy and childbirth, unemployment, etc.

Recall that, according to the government decree, during the war, automatic accrual of any type of state aid will be carried out only for those living in the occupied territories or where hostilities take place. The rest must independently resume their own appeals from January 1.
