There are several recipes and ways to serve the popular Shuba salad. In particular, it can be arranged in the form of small sandwiches - sandwiches.
You can also play around with the ingredients. So, the authors of shuba.life suggest replacing traditional potatoes with pomegranate seeds, which will make the taste of the salad more piquant.
Ingredients (for 2 servings):
Boiled beets - 1 pc.;
Herring - half a fillet;
Onion - 0.5 pcs.;
Carrots - 1 pc.;
Chicken eggs - 1 pc.;
Mayonnaise - to taste;
Pomegranate grains - 100 g;
Salt - to taste;
Sugar - 0.3 tsp
Cooking:
Boil vegetables and an egg, cool and peel, disassemble the pomegranate into grains.
Remove the bones from the herring, finely chop.
Finely chop the onion, put in a bowl and cover with sugar. Put herring on top, add a little mayonnaise and mix.
Grate the egg and shape the second layer of lettuce, salt and grease with mayonnaise.
Grate boiled carrots on a large grater, put on the egg layer and grease with mayonnaise too.
Similarly, make a layer of beets.
Sprinkle everything with even pomegranate seeds.
Place the salad in the refrigerator to let all the layers seep out.
