Defending the borders of his native country near Bakhmut, he was wounded and died on November 24 in the hospital Andrey Zaika. He was 49 years old. This was reported on Facebook by the Fastiv City Council.
“Andrey is from a large family. Studied at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”. During the years of his student life, he created a family, and after graduation, he moved to Fastov with his family. While working in Borovaya, he went from a worker to a shop manager. Then he worked in another company in the city of Kyiv. He raised his son and daughter, was a good father and an example for them. No wonder two of his children chose technical specialties, - the message says.
According to officials, the fighter volunteered for the draft board, without waiting for a summons, on the second day after the full-scale invasion. He served in the 53rd separate motorized rifle brigade named after Vladimir Monomakh of the First Rifle Battalion, led a communications platoon with the rank of “senior sergeant”.
During the performance of a combat mission, defending the borders of his native country, on November 7, near Bakhmut, he was seriously injured. For a long time he fought for life in the hospital, but on November 24 he joined the ranks of the Heavenly Host.
“Andrey’s wife Irina, son Maxim, daughter Yana, brothers, relatives and friends, brothers, friends and employees will always be waiting for Andrey at home”- his countrymen are convinced.
Recall that earlier in the battles near Bakhmut, a ballet dancer of the Kyiv Operetta Theater and a fighter of the Svoboda battalion of the 4th operational brigade Vadim Khlupyanets with the call sign Magnum also died. He was only 26 years old.
