The Americans won, breaking the world record with a time of 3:08.80! They were followed by the British and Czechs.

Even in qualifying, an unexpected situation occurred when the representative of Germany fell to the ground, due to which Patricia Wyciszkiewicz-Zawadzka lost her pace in the first meters. As a result, the Poles took a place that did not allow them to reach the final. However, after an appeal and protest, they were allowed to reach the final. Despite the bad position, Byalo-Chervoni showed that they have potential.
Results of the final 4×400 relay at the World Championships in Budapest
This race will go down in history. The Dutchwoman was in the lead most of the time, but shortly before the finish, Femke Bol stumbled, then got up and crossed the finish line without a baton, which meant a disqualification. The same champions were the Americans who started as part of: Justin Robinson, Rosie Effiong, Matthew Boling and Alexis Holmes, who broke the world record. In second place were the British: Lewis Davey, Laviai Nielsen, Rio Mitcham, Yemi Mary John. They, in turn, broke the British record by crossing the finish line in 3:11.06.
Czech bronze medal winners Matej Kršek, Teresa Petrzhilkova, Patrik Sorm and Lada Vondrova broke the Czech record with a score of 3:11.98. The Poles struggled to the last with the Irish and the Germans for eighth place, but eventually took ninth place in 3:15.49.
