Russians criticize Iga Swiatek for “politicization of sports”

Swiatek acknowledged, among other things, that the tournament participants must answer questions related to the war in Ukraine.

Oleg Shamonaev, the author of the text for the Russian portal, criticizes the polka for her words.
“The first racket of the world called on the media and the organizers of the upcoming Wimbledon to ask political questions about the events in Ukraine. […] The general calls for the politicization of sports from Swiatek, who has repeatedly criticized Russia, sound alarming.
