“We refuse to sponsor Arka Gdynia and expect the same attitude from the main sponsor, that is, the city of Gdynia. We expect a new ownership structure that is strongly connected to the region, that cares about good relations with the local community, that is ready to finance a developed sports infrastructure and that is open to cooperation with the various supporter groups that make up the strength of our club.
Mayor of Gdynia asks for clarification
Wojciech Szczurek is also dissatisfied with the fate of the club. The mayor of Gdynia wrote on social networks that he would expect explanations from the Ark authorities in connection with poor sports results. “The place of the Ark is in Extraclass,” the mayor of the city wrote. Arka Gdynia said goodbye to Ekstraklasa after the 2020/2021 season. The result of the last competition was the worst since the relegation.
