This year’s 4-Hills-Tournament is full of emotions from the very beginning. Halfway through the competition, the issue has not yet been resolved, and the representatives of Poland still have a chance for a final triumph. Therefore, it is still worth keeping an eye on what happens during this big sporting event. The ski jumpers have now traveled to Austria where they will fight for the ultimate triumph in Innsbruck and Bischofshofen.
Four Hills Tournament 2023. Two Poles on the podium
In the German part of the 4-Hills-Tournament, the best in Oberstdorf and also in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was Halvor Egner Granerud. In the first competition, the Norwegian overtook two representatives of Poland - Piotr Zyla and David Kubacki, and in the second competition he was better than Anze Lanisk and the third Kubacki.
In the middle of the 71st Four-Hills-Tournament, Granerud has a 26.8 point lead over second Kubacki. The last place on the podium is occupied by Petr Zhyla. Kamil Stoch is eighth and Pavel Vasek is 20th.
Now the jumpers will take part in the Austrian part of the 4-Hills-Tournament - in Innsbruck and Bischofshofen. First, training and qualifying will take place on the Bergisel hill. The first series of competitions is scheduled for Wednesday, January 4th.
