Projekt Warszawa was defeated in the 16th round in a clash with Asseco Resovia. The owner of the capital club, Kevin Tilly, appreciated the performance in that meeting and revealed what goals the team is facing.
Projekt Warszawa finished the first round of the main stage brilliantly, beating Trefl Gdańsk 3-0. In the middle of the season, the volleyball players of the capital club took eighth place with 23 points.
In the 16th round of PlusLiga Projekt Warszawa played against Asseco Resovia, which they eventually lost 0:3 (13:25, 16:25, 17:25). The service plusliga.pl after the meeting talked to the leader of the Warsaw team, Kevin Tilly.
Kevin Tilly: Our goal is to finish higher than eighth
The Frenchman admitted that it was a difficult match and he is very disappointed, but there is nothing more to think about it. “We have to keep moving forward and focus on every game. We played terrible against Asseco Resovia. We served poorly, didn’t finish the attack, and it was very difficult for us to play, also because the opponent played very well.”
Despite this poor performance, Projekt Warszawa is hoping for a better return round, especially since many injured players are back in the game. “Our goal is to finish above eighth, get into the playoffs and play better and better,” he emphasizes.
Tilly assessed the level of PlusLiga: You have to fight in every match
Kevin Tilly returned to PlusLiga in 2022 after many years. Previously, he performed in ZAKS Kedzierzyn-Kozle and Jastrzembski Wengel. When asked what the Polish volleyball league looks like from his point of view, the presenter replied that the level is very high.
You have to fight hard in every game to score points and be able to enjoy the victory. Personally, I always enjoy playing in Poland,” he concluded.
