In the hit of the 15th round of the Plus League, Yastrzhebsky Wengel had to admit the superiority of ZAKSA Kendzezhin-Kozle, losing 2:3. The owner of the vice-champion of Poland appreciated the course of this meeting and pointed out the reasons for the defeat of his team.

Until the 12th round of PlusLiga Jastrzębski Węgiel remained the only undefeated team. Only a round later, Cuprum Lubin made a surprise by beating the team of Marcelo Mendez 1:3. The next meeting was also unsuccessful for the volleyball players from Jastrzebie-Zdrój, as they lost to PGE Skra Bełchatów 2:3. The defeat against ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle meant that the players from Silesia fell to second place in the table. Tomas Fornal did not hide his disappointment with this result.

Tomas Fornal: We will not justify our problems

Immediately after the end of the match between ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle and Jastrzębski Węgiel, Tomasz Fornal gave an interview in which he explained that the defeat of his team could be due to a lack of desire to fight. He also did not want to explain this state of affairs with problems that arose in the last sets of the match.

- A tie-break is a short set, a little effort, and next time we have to give a little more emotion, more will to fight. The fact that we lost the fourth set, and ZAKSA led to a tie-break, does not mean anything, the fifth set is a lottery, one team will win two or three points and then only controls it. We could have played this tie-break differently,” Tomasz Fornal told jastrzebskiwegiel.pl.

Jastrzębski Węgiel lost its leading position

The loss to ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle means that Jastrzębski Węgiel is on par with Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, but pushed them back to second place. Both teams gathered 38 people each, and Tomas Fornal does not lose hope that they will soon regain their leadership position.

“I think we are doing well. We have health problems, but every team has them, this is a professional sport, and injuries happen, - the presenter added.
