In the 76th minute, the Australians struck the first shot at Emiliano Martinez’s goal and a goal was immediately scored. Craig Goodwin tried his luck from behind the penalty area, and if not for the intervention of Enzo Fernandez, the ball would have flown into the stands, and so 1:2, and the “Soccer” came into contact with Argentina. Aziz Behic started the individual game in the 81st minute. He went around two opponents, but settled on Lisandro Martinez, who cleared the ball for a corner.
The Australians failed to score the equalizing goal against a more determined opponent, and it will be the Argentines who will play the Netherlands in the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
