Czesław Mihniewicz is the father of the success of the Polish national team, which for the first time in 36 years left the World Cup group. The coach admitted that the main goal of the team at the moment is to break away from what is happening in the group and focus on the playoffs, which will be completely different from the group.
Cheslav Mikhnevich: I did not find the weaknesses of France
The breeder of the Polish team first of all paid attention to the line of attack of our Sunday rivals. He stated that if the Polish team beat the French, he would be able to call himself an interim world champion, using boxing jargon. The coach praised Didier Deschamps for the work done and noted that the Poles would like to score goals.
- I was looking for the weaknesses of the French and did not find. Each team has stages in the game where they make mistakes, but you have to earn them. If we don’t push, these mistakes won’t happen. It works the same way and vice versa. We have to focus on how we play. We will have a briefing, and we still have a lot of time to talk about it,” said Cheslav Mikhnevich.
The Poles want to surprise the French
Cheslav Mikhnevich is aware that, as in the match with Argentina, the French will want to dictate the rules of the game on the field and not let our attackers into the penalty area. However, the coach has prepared something different for the match with France than for the group stage matches.
- We have chosen such a strategy for the group from which we left. Now we want to play differently. We are happy to play against the world champion. This is an honor for us. This is a game to be or not to be. The rank of this meeting is very high, and we are not afraid of it. We said to hold Barbourka in Qatar and achieved this goal. We are proud. We have no fear. We don’t care what they say about us. We know what we will do on the field, - the breeder of the Polish team emphasized.
