Karol Butrin, striker of AZS Olsztyn Indikpol and bronze medalist of the League of Nations this year, spoke about his impressions after the first training camp in the Polish national team. The volleyball player also commented on his chances of participating in the World Championship.
Karol Butrin, when asked by the club media about his debut in the national team, answered that after coach Grbic, many new guys came to the team. “In a way it’s a new introduction, but we know each other from league fields with some of the players,” he added.
The attacker showed that the atmosphere in the frame is very good. “Each of us helps and supports each other to make everyone feel good,” he stressed.

When asked if he was satisfied with what he showed during the Volleyball League of Nations, Karol Butrin replied that he does not spend too much time on the field. - But when I had the opportunity, I wanted to give it my all. It didn’t always work, so I know there are elements that need improvement. You can’t be perfect in volleyball,” he said.
When asked if he deserved more opportunities than coach Nikola Grbic, he said it was not for him to judge. “The coach chooses the six and it is the coach who decides whether I deserve it or not,” he added.
This is a valuable experience for me and I want to make the most of it. Being in big halls filled with fans, such as the fantastic audience in Gdansk, impresses everyone. I want to extract as much as possible from this in order to embody it in the future game, - player Indykpol AZS Olsztyn emphasized.

The athlete, when asked about his chances of participating in the World Championships, said it was hard to say. - The coach changes the entire squad and has the opportunity to take, for example, four middle and two attackers. It is the coach who will decide which fourteen players he wants for the World Cup, he concluded.
