In Italy, the leader of the mafia Cosa Nostra, who has been on the wanted list since 1993, has been detained.
Matteo Messina Denaro was detained in a private clinic in Palermo, Sicily, where he was undergoing treatment. The special operation to arrest him was coordinated by the local prosecutor, Italian Defense Minister Guido Crossetto said on Twitter.
