- Most of you, having completed the basic course, having taken the oath, remain on the special course and, thus, become professional soldiers. This is very good, it means that the Polish Army is growing, becoming stronger, and this means that Poland is more secure, - said the Deputy Prime Minister.

Mariusz Blaszczak also spoke about the equipment purchased by the Polish Army. “This year the first Patriot batteries will go into service with the Polish Army,” he stressed. He added that this year the military will receive the first Korean tanks. “We signed a contract for the supply of these tanks three days ago,” he reminded.

Private Kamil Pivko, who took the oath, told reporters that he joined the army in order to continue his professional career and fulfill his childhood dreams. On the other hand, Private Karolina Lubańska said that patriotism and a sense of fulfillment of an important function were decisive factors in entering the army. “It’s not an easy job, it’s a 24/7 service,” she said. She added that during training, the first contact with the weapon was stressful. “Now I like it,” she said.
