And it was about these words that the SW Research studio decided to ask the Poles. On behalf of Rzeczpospolita, she conducted a survey and asked which prime minister in the 21st century do respondents consider “the prime minister of Polish poverty”. In order not to suggest anything, the respondents were not given surnames to choose from.
The results leave no illusions and certainly will not please the creator of this term, that is, the current prime minister. As much as 34.9 percent. of the respondents, they pointed to Mateusz Morawiecki, believing that these words fit him best. In second place was Donald Tusk, whose prime minister today is associated with poverty among 19 percent of respondents.
Interestingly, Jarosław Kaczynski, who was at the helm of the government in 2006-2007, was also on the podium with 13 percent of the respondents. Other prime ministers of the 21st century no longer evoke such emotions, and their tenure is much less associated with poverty.
Fourth place was taken by Marek Belka (5.9% of responses), fifth by Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz (3.4%), sixth by Leszek Miller (3.4%). According to respondents, the weakest term “Prime Minister of Polish poverty” is Ewa Kopacz, who was named by 1.9 percent. and Beate Szydlo (1.7%).
A sharp exchange of views between Tusk and Morawiecki
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, during his summer tour of the country, often compares the actions of the current government with what happened under Donald Tusk. While in Turov, he stressed that “Tusk is poverty and chaos, while Law and Justice seeks to make Poland prosperous, strong and proud.”
Donald Tusk does not remain in debt and often comments on current political events in harsh terms. His words sounded menacing when he mentioned the so-called electronic scandal.
- This is a one-to-one scheme from Putin’s Russia or the times when the Polish United Workers’ Party decided everything in Poland. From here, the image of a classic mafia state emerges, where the political mafia spreads its tentacles throughout the space of public life in order to steal with impunity, says Donald Tusk.
