Bulgaria is likely to sell huge amounts of ammunition to Ukraine through intermediaries, which could have a significant impact on the course of the war, said in an interview with bTV former Minister of Defense of this country Boyko Noev.

The interim acting defense minister will hand over nearly €175 million worth of old munitions to the state munitions plant and will receive new munitions, the ministry announced, euractiv.com writes.

This is done so that a huge amount of old ammunition from the warehouses of the Bulgarian army gets into Ukraine, added the ex-minister of defense, who is well acquainted with the arms business in the country.

The Bulgarian army has stocks of Soviet-style ammunition that the Ukrainian army needs for old weapons - tanks, howitzers, anti-tank grenade launchers, Soviet multiple rocket launchers, AK-47s, etc.

Just a few days ago, President Rumen Radev announced that Bulgaria would sell weapons and ammunition to other European countries, provided that they were not sent to Ukraine.
