The long-awaited Netflix mini-series is still a couple of months away from the premiere. All the light we can’t see, but in the coming days we’ll get early reaction to the war drama as it screens at the Toronto International Film Festival this Sunday. To announce upcoming episodes, Netflix released a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the series today.
The story follows a blind girl and a German soldier whose paths crossed during World War II. To tell this story 100% authentic and fair, director and executive producer Shawn Levy (Deadpool 3) decided to hire blind or visually impaired actors to play both a young and an older version of the protagonist Marie-Laurie. Moreover, he and his team were able to Aria Mia Lobertia woman who makes her film debut and before starring in the series, did not even think about an acting career.
The behind-the-scenes look also draws the attention of Loberti’s fellow cast members. Hugh Laurie (House, Maryland), Mark Ruffalo (She-Hulk Lawyer), And Louis Hofmann (Dark) to praise elements of the story. Story All the light we can’t see follows Marie Laurie and Werner (Hofmann). Although she is a clear victim of the Nazi Party’s invasion and bombing of France, the soldier is a controversial person who does not believe that his country is doing the right thing. Their paths cross as they both try to find a way to get through the devastation, trauma, and loss.
All the light we can’t see based on the author’s Pulitzer Prize-winning bestseller. Anthony Dorr - which is also featured in a behind-the-scenes review and talks about the universal themes of his novel and why it resonates with so many readers. The author believes that one of the reasons was that the story depicts two people who are simply interested in learning about the world around them, but who cannot learn because there is a war going on.
