When Parks and recreation areas which premiered on NBC in 2009, the series didn’t feel like a series that would run too long. NBC struggled and this new show looked like a clone Officewith a fake documentary style, following a group of strange characters in their workplace. Amy Poehler could be compared with Steve Carell Also, both are experienced in TV comedies but are not yet big stars.
In fact, the first season Parks and recreation areas struggled with quality and tone. The ratings were terrible and only got worse over the years, but in spite of everything, Parks and recreation areas survived, lasting seven seasons. The series eventually found its voice, in the process giving us one of the best comedies on television of all time and launching the careers of our colleagues. Chris Pratt And Aubrey Plaza. On February 24, 2015, in the two-part final called “The Last Ride”, he also gave us a beautiful goodbye that we will never forget.
Andy Dwyer and April Ludgate became parents
At the end of each sitcom, there are certain tropes that they must follow. Someone has to get married or someone has to die. The character needs to get a new job, because of which he leaves. At best, there should be a child. Parks and recreation areas threw it all against the wall and it sticks. Two of the show’s best characters for a long time were Andy Dwyer and April Ludgate. It was a pleasure to watch not only the characters grow, but also the actors behind them. By the time the series came to an end, Aubrey Plaza and Chris Pratt had become household names.
On paper, Andy and April weren’t supposed to work. Andy is like a big stupid puppy, happy and full of life, even if he doesn’t understand it. April is smart but always unhappy. Their opposites attract, which is why they are so great to watch together. By the end, Andy and April are married. It should be their happily ever after, but there’s just one huge problem. Andy wants kids but April doesn’t. The series finale mostly takes place in the future, looking into the future lives of Pawnee, Indiana Parks Department employees. Now for Andy and April Halloween 2021. As the couple struggle to work out their different desires, they talk to Leslie (Poehler) and Ben (Adam Scott) separately. Andy tells Ben how much he wants kids. “You know, yesterday I was in the park and I saw a group of eight-year-olds laughing and playing and having a good time. I almost burst into tears. they laughed.”
Exactly one year later, again on Halloween, we find Andy and April in the delivery room. “Baby, you look prettier now than I’ve ever seen you.” Let’s move on to April in zombie makeup. She tells the doctor she plays Henry Winklerwho wants to help her take off her makeup: “No, I want it. That’s the whole point. I put on makeup after I went into labor.” She then instructs Andy to put on her birth mix, which appropriately includes “Monster Mash”.
Everyone, including Ron Swanson, see their dreams come true
Similarly Office, Parks and recreation areas was known for a lot of crazy office characters. They were so well defined that they became as popular as the main cast. In the end, they all say goodbye with dignity. Jerry or HarryJim O’Hare), the one who is the sweetest of all. He is a simple man who gets ridiculed for his stupidity but he is also a very happy guy who loves his job and especially his home life where he is married to the woman he plays Christie Brinkley all people. Nobody expects much from him, so it’s great to see him become mayor or Pawnee.
Braggadosios Tom HaverfordAziz Ansari) has a restaurant business that is going bankrupt. It doesn’t matter, he also gets married and writes a successful book. Craig (Billy Eichner) is also getting married, as is Donna (Retta), who now lives in Seattle. Then there’s the crazy sibling duo Jean-Ralphio (Ben Schwartz) and Mona Lisa (Jenny Slate). In their latest scheme, Jean-Ralphio fakes his death, only to flee America with his sister and an insurance payout to open a casino in Tajikistan. As expected, he’s in trouble because of this, but hey, he’s alive, so it’s still a happy ending.
Then there’s Ron SwansonNick Offerman), director of the Department of Parks. He’s one of Leslie’s best friends, but if there’s anyone who despises humans more than April Ludgate, it’s the mustachioed Swanson. Last season Parks and recreation areas sees Ron start his own construction company, Very Good Building and Development Company, but still feels something is missing from his life. Leslie knows the solution. She makes him superintendent of the Pawnee National Park. When he is introduced to his fellow rangers, he tells them, “It is your job and mine to walk this land and make sure no one harms it. If you show up on time, speak honestly, and treat everyone fairly, we’ll get along.” just fine, although hopefully not too good as I’m not looking for new friends.” Ron then heads out to the beautiful lake in a canoe with one of Nick Offerman’s trademark wide smiles on his face. He found his calling in nature, away from people.
Leslie Knope finds the greatest success imaginable
Leslie Knope has always been a star Parks and recreation areas, so it’s her and her life with Ben that gets the most attention. She and Ben are the parents of triplets. It’s 2025 and she’s still hanging out with Joe And Jill Biden. It was at a dinner with them that the DNC suggested that she run for governor. The dream has come true, except that someone approaches Ben with the same idea. Then they must decide which of them will work. Leslie decides that they will flip a coin, but Ben intervenes and says that Leslie will run. She makes Ben her campaign manager.
We then fast forward to Leslie Knope giving her commencement address at Indiana University, where she is also receiving an honorary doctorate. During her graduation speech, she says, “I’ve had many different positions, including two terms as your governor.” Leslie Knope did it. The woman who dreamed big and had enough passion for a hundred people achieved everything she ever wanted. But that is not all. Fast forward to 2048 and see the elderly Leslie and Ben at Jerry’s funeral. However, this is not a sad thing. The lucky man lived to be 100 years old and was still Mayor of Pawnee. What’s most notable about this scene is that Leslie and Ben are surrounded by Secret Service agents, implying that one of them is the president. Cleverly, with a lengthy mystery, it is never revealed which of them is the president.
Last scene from Parks and recreation areas dates back to 2017, when Leslie and everyone in the park celebrates swing repairs. They are again photographed by the whole group. While the timer counts down, Leslie looks off into the distance, away from the camera, with a slight smile on her face. - Are you ready, baby? Ben asks her, referring to the photo that is about to happen. Leslie’s smile widens. “Yes,” she says, not talking about photography at all.
It’s not quite the end Parks and recreation areas, however. On April 30, 2020, during the pandemic, the gang reunited for Parks and Recreation Special Offer. It wasn’t anything particularly memorable as it served more as a fundraiser for Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund than anything else. However, seeing so many people coming together in pre-recorded videos and via Zoom when we couldn’t really be together celebrating what Parks and recreation areas still meant to them, and so much, was a special part.
