Over the past half century Pedro Pascal became one of the hottest names in Hollywood. It seems that not a day goes by lately when he is not involved in something. This is reported exclusively by The Hollywood Reporter. Last of us the star returns to the horror genre with Barbarian director Zach Creggernext movie Weapon.
Both plots Weapon and Pascal’s role in the film is currently unknown, but the film has been described as “an interconnected, multiplot horror epic tonally Magnoliacast-packed 1999 showcase from the director Paul Thomas Anderson.” The script was written by Cregger, and he will produce the project with Barbarianproduction team consisting of Roy Lee, J. D. Lifshitz And Rafael Margules. Arms plans to begin filming this fall.
Barbarian Light up the powder keg Weapon
When Barbarian released last September, it was one of the many surprise horror gems of 2022. It was a horror thriller that shattered every conceivable genre expectation with a brilliant sense of atmosphere, a unique cast of characters that played perfectly with familiar tropes, and themes that made you rethink the way we look at horror in general. It was perfect for those looking for terrifying pleasure and people who wanted a little more meaning under the expected bunch of bodies. That’s why it’s a pity the movie still doesn’t have a Blu-ray release. As another small-budget horror hit, earning $45 million on a $4.5 million budget, Cregger quickly became one of the most popular names in the genre. This led to a bidding war for Weapon Earlier this year. A war that New Line eventually won.
What wasn’t Pedro Pascal wearing?
From the time of Pascal Game of Thrones, the actor quickly rose to A-list status. His credits include Kingsman: The Golden Ring, Narcos, Wonder Woman 1984, triple border, We can be heroes And The Unbearable Weight of Huge Talent. However, his role as Dean Djarin in The Mandalorian and Joel Miller Last of us cemented Pascal’s status as an icon of the genre. The last of these put him in first place in the race for the Emmys. Pascal is one of the greatest acting talents of a generation, and his emotional range is unmatched. He can make you laugh, cry, get scared, and do everything in between with ease. Like The last of us, Barbarian was a very emotional horror story, so it will be interesting to see what both Cregger and Pascal have in store for fans of the genre with Weapon. When Weapon Release expected?
No release date or window for Weapon yet, but given that the horror film will start production in the fall, it’s safe to assume that a fall 2024 release date is already known.
