LEGO joins Disney in celebrating the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company. The toy company has unveiled new sets and minifigures inspired by the studio’s films. One of the sets is the Lego BrickHeadz Disney 100th Celebration set. It features four important Disney characters: Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Mickey Mouse, Snow White, and Tinkerbell.
Oswald starred in several Disney animated shorts before the introduction of Mickey Mouse in 1928. The Mickey Mouse version in the BrickHeadz set is taken from Steamboat Willie, which was the character’s first appearance. 1937s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the studio’s first animated feature film. Tinker Bell, born in 1953 Peter Panalso appeared in the opening of the television series Walt Disney Disneylandwhich is now known as The Amazing World of Disney. The LEGO BrickHeadz Disney 100th Anniversary Celebration set is available now.
One of the other sets is the LEGO DUPLO Disney 3in1 Magic Castle. The iconic Disney castle also features Mickey, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck minifigures. There is also a minifigure of Fiagro the cat, who appeared as Geppetto the cat in the 1940s. Pinocchio, as well as Minnie the cat in several cartoons. The kit allows users to create one large model, a tall tower, or two small castle buildings. The castle also has several Easter eggs for Disney fans. Among them is a magic mirror from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfsrose 1991 The beauty and the Beastand a 1950s glass slipper Cinderella. Another set is the LEGO Disney Celebration Train. Includes minifigures Mickey, Minnie, Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Woody from toy story, and Moana. Each section of the train has a design inspired by the characters and their films. The 3in1 LEGO DUPLO Disney Magic Castle and LEGO Disney Holiday Train will be available for purchase starting April 1st.
LEGO Disney and Pixar Up The House is another set that will be released on April 1st. Includes Carl Fredricksen, Russell and Doug minifigures. The house even has balloons that the house was used to fly in the movie. Up was released in 2009 and became the second animated film ever nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture after The beauty and the Beast. Disney fans will also be able to build some of their favorite characters in LEGO Minifigures Disney 100 Blind Bags.
The sealed bags contain one surprise character, as well as at least one accessory and a collector’s information booklet. A total of 18 characters are available for collection. One of them will be Mickey with his design from the Sorcerer’s Apprentice segment from the 1940s. Fantasy. Disney has already started celebrating the company’s 100th anniversary. Trailers and teasers for the studio’s 2023 films feature a special Disney 100 logo. An ad was released during this year’s Super Bowl that recalls the company’s past century of operation. Some of the other Disney 100 collectibles include Funko Pop! figurines of Mickey Mouse and characters from various films. In January, Marvel began releasing variant Disney 100 covers for select issues of the magazine. The Incredible Spiderman comic book series. The covers depict Mickey and his friends as Marvel superheroes, parodying the storylines of classic comics. One parodied cover was the first issue of the magazine Infinity Gauntlet storyline adapted for the 2018 Marvel Cinematic Universe film. Avengers: Infinity War.
