The upcoming fourth season of the TBS anthology series. miracle workers less than two months left, and this season the gang will plunge into the post-apocalyptic world. Last month, the first official teaser for the season was released. Miracle Workers: End Times, has been released, giving an early indication of what to expect. Now TBS has shared a brand new music video for the season featuring Daniel Radcliffe as well as Geraldine Viswanathan.
Most of the larger plot details are currently unknown, but along with the setting, the clip showcases the relationship between the still unnamed Radcliffe character and Freya Viswanathana. It focuses on Freya lamenting the seemingly endless pile of the couple’s unpaid bills. As Freya mutters accusations, she also reveals a couple of essentials that exist in the world and the standard currency. Things don’t improve when Freya’s parents call, and Radcliffe’s character literally bursts with excitement at meeting them. Luckily for him, he gets his wish. And as a “super-rich, 0.001%” couple, Freya’s parents were definitely living their best post-apocalyptic life.
The representation of Freya’s parents contrasts sharply between them and Freya. Whether they only appear in one episode or stay longer, it gives the show an opportunity to play with the dynamic of the rich versus everyone else. The clip also sets up a great base for Freya and her overall background. This is already raising questions ahead of the new season and giving viewers a chance to learn more. Also, Radcliffe’s character’s enthusiasm, mixed with his flawless comedic moment, is sure to add to the chaos of the meeting and may push him into his own line of questioning, considering he didn’t even know Freya had parents.
miracle workers has been adapted Simon Rich from his novel of the same name. Based on the book, the first season follows two low-level angels who planned to stop God from destroying the Earth by performing their greatest miracle to date: making two people fall in love. The second season brought everything back to Earth and was set in the Dark Ages. In season 3, the team set out on the Oregon Trail and faced moral turmoil, criminals, and everything in between. Additional regulars include Steve Buscemi, Karan Sonias well as John Bass.
