virgin river is a popular Netflix show that explores the troubled relationship between Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack (Martin Henderson) in a small town. Over the course of the first four seasons, we watched their they-they-not-they relationship as we met with the rest of the city, and it has grown into a show that fans can’t miss the minute it airs. Star Ben Hollingsworth who plays Brady on the show, posted several images on Instagram showing him with a motorcycle and saying, “Day 1 of season 5. Let’s go! The show has been a constant twist for all the characters unrelated to Mel and Jack’s relationship, with constant love stories keeping the series moving along as well as mysteries that bring fans back.
In season 4, most of the story, aside from Mel and Jack’s baby, was Brady dealing with his jail time for trying to kill Jack in previous seasons. Again, this show has twists like no other that keep you on your toes all the time!
However, there will be a lot of drama in the fifth season. New showrunner Patrick Sean Smith talked about where the series is heading. “There’s a lot going on and it took me a while to figure out what [the characters have] it’s all been through where they’re going and where I would like them to go,” he told TVLine in July. “I wanted it to be as fluid as possible.”
He also revealed that Season 5 picks up where we left off in Season 4. “Season 5 starts right after season 4,” he said. “There is no time jump between four and five.” We’re left with Mel and Jack finally engaged, the paternity of Jack’s supposed twins is up in the air and more mysteries to be revealed at the end of Season 4 but as Season 5 is already underway with cast and crew hopefully we’ll get answers. sooner rather than later. But will we see Mel and Jack marry each other and have a happy start to season five? And what will happen to Brady? We’ll have to wait and see, but this is amazing news for fans of the Netflix series!
