Obaitek also announced that Orlen is considering building a combined cycle plant with a capacity of about 600 MW in Gdansk.

“We are waiting for a feasibility study for the development of petrochemicals, this gas-fired power plant should not only produce electricity, but also produce steam, which is very important from the point of view of our partner and us when it comes to ideas for the development of petrochemicals in Gdansk,” he said.

PKN Orlen intends to increase domestic gas production to more than 4 billion cubic meters, and in total, including production in Norway, to 12 billion cubic meters.
